Ormond Beach-based Security First Insurance Company has announced work has officially started on its new 133,000 square foot headquarters, which will sit on 48 acres in a new mixed-use development known as Ormond Crossings.
In a statement, the property insurance company said that the new campus will include “employee-centric features” such as an in-house dining facility, yoga studio, fitness center and an outdoor walking trail.
It comes as Security First seeks to unite its 300 employees under one roof, who are currently working across four offices in Ormond Beach and Holly Hill, as well as add up to 250 new faces over the next five years.
“We’re not a traditional homeowners insurance provider,” said Melissa Burt DeVriese, chief administrative officer and chief legal counsel at Security First. “We consider ourselves a data-driven, technology company focused on transforming the insurance experience and exceeding our customers’ expectations.
“Our new building will allow us to continue to expand our family of employees and allow us to collaborate under one roof, right here in our hometown.”
