8. Fort Myers Beach
This beach is a located on Estero Island, off the southwest Florida coast. The beach is popular destination for watersports lovers and for those who love the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Activities in this area include visiting the Ostego Bay Marine Science Center or trailing through the Matanzas Pass Preserve nature sanctuary. Watersports here also include parasailing and kayaking. You can also grab a Waverunner and join a dolphin eco-tour or go on a fishing charter.
7. Panama City Beach
When it’s not taken over by Spring Breakers, this beach is actually a great destination for couples and families. Located in northwest Florida, Panama City Beach is known for miles of white-sand beaches that sit on the edge of calm and calm water. For nature lovers, Andrews State Park is just nearby with hiking trails and fishing piers. Pier Park is the main shopping hub and venue for major events in this city. Families can visit the Shipwreck Island water park or the animals and plants at Zoo World.

Don’t miss Las Olas Boulevard, which is the main street for fashion boutiques, art galleries, sidewalk cafes and bars.
3. South Beach
Perhaps Florida’s most famous beach, South Beach has made it to this list for any Floridian that has yet to visit. Perfect for chic visitors, South Beach is known for its pristine beaches and glamorous scene. Here, you might spot a celebrity at a nightclub or dine at a famous chef’s restaurant. Ocean Drive, known for its art deco architecture, is a must-see here at South Beach.
2. Siesta Beach
Heading back to the west side, Siesta Beach has won many awards including “the whitest and finest sand in the world” and “the best sand beach in America.” Siesta Beach is located on Beach Road on Siesta Key – an island off the west coast. A short trip from the beach is a village of outdoor dining, coffee shops and shopping. Don’t miss Turtle Beach, which is sits on the southern end and is where kayaks launch.

This beach won the No. 1 spot on TripAdvisor’s list of Top Beaches for 2018. Why? Well, it’s got beautiful white sand and clear shallow water. Clearwater’s small-town atmosphere is perfect for those who would rather skip chic South Beach. Activities here include strolling down the Beach Walk Promenade or relaxing on a cabana. You can also visit the Clearwater Marine Aquarium or find good food and entertainment at several buzzing establishments. Shopping is a must at the Shoppes on Sand Key and the SurfStyle store on Beach Walk.
